Tiffany named President of the Over-the-Rhine Chamber
Mario San Marco, Chairman of the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce, proudly
announces the appointment of Brian L. Tiffany as the Chamber’s new President
effective February 1. Mr. Tiffany will transition to his new position over the
next several months as he completes his current responsibilities and commitments
to the Cincinnati Development Fund and their clients.
Over the past five years, Brian worked as a Consultant and Loan Officer for
Cincinnati Development Fund, a non-profit lending consortium, which underwrites
and services community development real estate loans that result in the creation
or preservation of affordable housing and revitalization of urban neighborhoods.
Brian worked with numerous developers in creating development teams for the
rehabilitation of over 800 housing units throughout the Cincinnati market. He
was responsible for the origination and underwriting of nearly $40 million in
affordable and market rate housing development loans.
Brian is Co-captain of the Washington Park Safety Sector, member of the
Washington Park Program and Improvement Plan Committees, OTR Chamber Board
Member & Membership Committee Chair, member of the 2005 AVOC Gala Committee,
and a Board Member elect of QCCA. He supported the fundraising efforts of the
OTR Foundation and the OTR Tour of Homes, DCI and the Downtown Tour of Homes,
People Working Cooperatively, and he served as past co-chair of the Cincinnati
Children’s Hospital Business Committee. Brian currently lives in Over-the-Rhine and is eager to demonstrate his
commitment to community leadership and service in the Over-the-Rhine
neighborhood. The Over-the-Rhine Chamber is excited to have Tiffany’s
experience, proven business leadership, strategic planning and team building
skills. January 2006Hot Spot Reporting Makes a Difference
Reporting "Hot Spot" address where illegal drug taking activity is taking
place can be done anonymously! Postcards donated by Memorial Inc., and
distributed at the Over-the-Rhine Safety Sectors meeting are filled out
anonymously and mailed back to the Chamber. Since the program began in April 2005,
police have made 38 felony arrests and 40 misdemeanor arrests and confiscated
numerous illegal drugs due to the 34 cards received at the Chamber Office. Now
due to funding from Mercy Health Partners, there is now a Hot Spots Hotline
where residents, business and property owners can call anonymously to report
criminal activity.
