Second Sunday in OTRSecond Sunday on Main is now Second Sunday in OTR (Over-the-Rhine), and will include Main, Vine and other surrounding streets between 12th and 14th streets. Second Sunday in OTR will continue to be a hip, eclectic neighborhood event, but in its 6th season will embrace the vibrant neighborhood and expand beyond Main Street. It began May 9 and continues through September 12 on the second Sunday of every month from noon – 5 p.m. in historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.secondsundayinotr.org. 2010 GoOTR 5K RecapOn Saturday May 22, a record number of runners and walkers flocked to Over-the-Rhine for the fourth annual GoOTR 5K Run/Walk. The race began at 10 a.m. at the corners of 12th and Vine Street. The turnout of runners is a great testament to the growth and positive change that is happening in Over-the-Rhine. The race participants were able to enjoy the historic beauty of OTR as the race route traveled along 12th, Main, Elm, Vine, Liberty and Central Parkway. The run ended with the Summer Celebration Arts Festival. Both the run and festival brought more than 2,000 people to Over-the-Rhine on the May 22 weekend. 2010 Annual Meeting RecapAn enthusiastic crowd of over 300 people attended the 2010 Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 27th. The audience included several business, civic and government leaders, along with many other Over-the-Rhine supporters. Held in Music Hall’s Ballroom, this year's program recognized the great progress achieved in Over-the-Rhine in 2009. The meeting honored and recognized Star Awards recipients. Once a year, Star Awards are received by outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses to recognize the positive impact they have made in Over-the-Rhine and Greater Cincinnati over the past year. Serving as master of ceremonies was the Over-the-Rhine Chamber President Brian Tiffany who brought personality to this year's stage. Stephen G. Leeper, President & CEO, Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) served as this year's Keynote speaker. Mr. Leeper talked about Over-the-Rhine and the exciting development that 3CDC is proud to support in Over-the-Rhine like the redevelopment of the Washington Park Area. A big thank you goes out to the individual volunteers and the Annual Meeting event committee that helped make the 2010 Annual Meeting a great success.
